How do you hook up dvd to dish receiver?

i cant hook up to the tv cause i dont have tv remote to get to the channel needed for dvd player so what can i do and i can not find a universal remote

  1. Most dish receiver with in exception of a couple of them you cannot do this, but you can run a RCA cable from the dish receiver to the DVD play then from the DVD play to your TV.
