How do you hook up surround sound to your cable?

  1. I assume you still have a vcr because I never tried it with the dvd's.

    The jumpers are audio>white/video.>red/. Most the time the yellow ends goes to nothing. Try that and see if it works??

    If it doesnt work the first time then you can remember the red jumper is vid. cas you see red when mad. lol


  2. Follow the connections from the rear of your Cable Box.

    You should have audio out RCA plugs.

    There would be a L-left  R-right, using RCA patch cords, plug them respectively to your surround amplifier.  

    Yours may a bit different but that is the basic direction to follow.

    If not

    Call your cable provider for a connection diagram for your particular equipment

    Use the audio out jacks from your TV set.  Same direction as above.
