  1. ok im sorry but if you dont know how to hook up a cable box to your vcr, you need to take a crash course on home electronics lol. vcrs have been around for 30+ yrs and my grandma knows how to hook up a vcr. did you buy the vcr after you got your cable hooked up??? ok sorry i had to. but you can run the black (coaxial) cable from the back of your cable box to the input of your vcr. then run another cable from the output to your tv. and abracadabra!!!!! problem fixed. or you could just have a guy friend do it for you lol

  2. Take the cable from the 'out' on the cable box, place in to 'RF in on your VCR. Take the cable from your TV antenna, and place it into RF out on your VCR.  you will have to set your TV to aux, and your VCR to 'on'  if that doesn't work, put your VCR to aux as well.  You now have 3 remotes to use, just to get a picture on your TV.  Hope I have helped.

  3. What I would do is connect your cablebox coaxial output (RF) to the antenna input on the VCR.  Then connect another coax cable from the antenna output of the VCR to the antenna input on the TV.  Now,  to record a show you need have the VCR set to channel 3 and then use the cable box to change your channels.  You should also set your TV to channel 3 for this configuration.  That way if you are not recording a show you dont have to turn the VCR on.  Just use the cable box to change channels.  If you want to watch another channel while you record then you will need a splitter connect one output of the splitter as described above and the other side directly to the TV (assuming you have two antenna inputs on your TV.  If you dont,  Then you will have to connect the red, white audio outputs of the cablebox to the TV aux input and also the yellow(or s-video) output of the cablebox to the tv monitor input.
