How do you incubate a wild bird egg that fell from the nest?

i have one egg almost an inch long or so, it's totally white. i don't want to have to buy and incubater, because i might not have enough money to buy one. please answer my question!

  1. You don't. If it fell from the nest and sat on the ground for more than an hour, it is most likely dead.  Also, illegal for you to hatch the egg of a wild native bird.  Just return it where you found it.


  2. first you may want to check the egg, the mother may have pushed it from the nest because it could be a dud egg meaning the baby hasn't survived. hold the egg up to a bright light and if you see the shape of a baby bird that looks living, then keep the egg bundled around some blankets or something and keep a heat lamp on it. you can find these lights at any pet store.

  3. its against the law you call  wild life rescue or your local vet and turn it in. There are federal and state law its called the migratory bird act.
