Question:

How do you indent in MS Word 2007?

For example, say that I have this text on MS Word 2007:

There was a girl who could not figure out how to indent on Microsoft Word 2007 because whenever she hit "TAB," the entire chunk of text was shifted to the right instead of just one line of text being shifted to the right.

I'm trying to get my text in a bibliography format. So, in the above example, everything but the first line should be indented.

Pretty much, my problem is explained above. How do I indent ONLY ONE line of text?

  1. RIght click on the paragraph and choose "Paragraph".  Then you will choose Hanging indent.  Hanging indent is where the first line hangs out farther to the left than the rest of the paragraph.
