How do you insert cheats or hack into gba games?

I have pokemon emerald and i wnt to use cheats to get the ticket to faraway island. I would likes to do this without a nintendo event. Thx

GBA games cannot run application hacks, and therefore require special devices. Gameshark and Action Replay are two of the devices that can do this. From these devices just type in the codes that modify the data and the hack will be activated, example: walk through walls, infinite hp, etc.
