  1. what type of A/V receiver don't have RCA connections?

  2. If you have an audio component such as a cd player that you want to connect but there are no inputs on your receiver, forget it. You won't make it happen without schematic diagrams and at least a basic knowledge of electronics.

If you are trying to connect speakers that have RCA jacks, wouldn't it just be easier to chop the plug off the end of the speaker wire?

  3. There are converter jacks which allow you go from one connector type to another ... what kind of jacks *does* your stereo system have??  Odds are there's a simple plug you can use to go from that to an RCA plug.

  4. Buy an adapter that will allow you to connect your older stereo parts with your RCA jacks and connect your stereo connections with newer RCA jacks.
