How do you install a new ipod battery?

I have it in the ipod, but I still can't charge it. I get an error message telling me to go the the apple site, but that's not helping. I can't restore the ipod with itunes because the ipod will not turn on.

well first of all i need specifics. what type of ipod is it? and no ipod batteries can be user replaced. its just kind of difficult. ive done it 3 times with 3 different ipods.

Try going to www.apple.com/itunes. You can ask the experts what you can do about it. Hope it helps!

you cannot! the first ipods were released with sealed batteries. to replace, they need to be sent back to apple.

flip it around. Maybe you have it in wrong.
