How do you install a stereo in a 94 Chevy Z71?

I want to put the replacement CD player where the tape player is now. I pulled off the dash and couldnt figure out what i needed exactly to do the job. The previous owner put a 6 disc CD player in it but it doesn't work.

You will need to buy a dash install kit.. which is what your stereo will be held in the dash by.. you can buy one of these at any car audio shop or even wal mart..  Then you will also need to buy a wire harness to connect the factory wires to the wires on the back of the stereo.. Those can also be found at stereo shops or wal mart..  Just follow the directions that are given to you in the packages and you will be good to go

There's a replacement center dash piece for that spot, the aftermarket radio will fit it. Probably have to go to a stereo shop for the piece. There's no stereo wiring over there either so you'll have to handle the wiring.
