How do you install subwoofers?

Question

The kind that go in the trunk..and while i'm on the topic what kinds of speakers do i get..how many watts should i get:300?

i want speakers that everyone can hear outside my car..i only want the bass to be heard and not the lyrics so can i control how much bass the speakers will put out? also i hate it when the trunk shakes like if there is someone punching the trunk lid trying to get out ; it just sounds crappy so are there certain speakers that wont do that?

You need subwoofer installed in box, proper amplifier, speaker wires, compasitor, ground wire

Run the attach the speaker wire to the proper ports on the amplifer, you'll need a s***w driver.

Run the amplifier wires to your radio.

Run the ground from the amplifier to your battery or the ground on your radio

Connect the compastior to the amplifier

Remember a subwoofer, speakers, and tweeters are all different.

A subwoofer produces lows

A speaker produces mids

and a tweeter produces highs

You want them all even, So they don't sound like c**p.

Why wouldnt you want to hear the mids(lyrics), and only the lows?

I recommend professional installation, not expensive, you just might not have the expreience needed to do a job like this.
