How do you introduce yourself to other people when you first meet them?

I take my fist and rocket it into their crotch while shouting, "Excuse me, I think I lost something!"

They always get a good chuckle out of my humorous introduction, and many of them don't even call the police!

Hi Christopher Michael, I am Boogie, I have not seen you on answers and I like your question can I add you to my contacts so we can have some Y/A fun?

Your answer would be:

she is insane.lol

"Hello, I'm ...."

And if they don't know me by reputation, I explain why I might be of interest to them.  For example, I might state my position at work if meeting a co-worker, or I might state my family relationship if at a wedding.

And if it's a superior, then a handshake ensues. If it's a peer then an awkward "I am trying to shake your hand but you are trying to do some sort of modified high five so I am just going to extend my hand and we will see what happens" thing happens.
