  1. You need to be on one of the fifteen or sixteen professional teams that are invited to compete, each of whom will send their strongest line up. If you're young and interested in getting into cycling there should be amateur clubs in your local area.


  2. Be absolutely amazing. If you're not at least one of the top few hundred road cyclists in the world then sorry, but you can forget it.
