How do you join the navy?

can you only join if a recruiter is interested in you?

my friend keeps talking about it but i think she's bluffing.

but just to make sure. how do you join? it's not available to everyone is it?

  1. It's available to just about everyone. All your friend has to do is to to to the nearest Navy recruiting station and talk with them. As long as she can pass the required tests, she should be able to take advantage of the opportunities that are available.


  2. You and your friend can join together under the buddy system...

    You need to talk to a recruiter to get in. But unless you have serious medical conditions, have a criminal record, or drop out of high school you can join.

    The recruiter doesn't make the final decision anyway. You have to go to a place called MEPS and they have a bunch of military people who decide. (It is the same for all branches...they all share MEPS so you might enlist at the same time as Army, Marines, and Air Force people are doing it.)

    Go to NAVY.COM and look around the site. You can sign up to have a recruiter call you.
