  1. Do lots of leg excercises. Or you can try walking, running, jumping using just your toes. That seemed to helpo me. I'm a 5'10 white guy and can almost dunk a basketball, how exciting!

  2. running messes up your jumping muscles, if you run for a long time you start messing with the wrong muscle. im 5'2 and i have a 24 inch vertical. running stairs helps and just getting out on the court and jumping a lot.

  3. do your approach over and over... and wall squats... they're not fun but they help SOOO much... your quads help amazingly in jumping... and building them up will help out your vertical... believe me... i needed to build up my vert.. and i did mostly these two things and it went from 18 to 23 inches

  4. 2 points!

  5. You could practice your jumping or you can jump with a lot of speed.

  6. Well, my suggestion is start by jumping hurdles/ a high bar to get a bit more height. Then you can go to something a little bit more challenging, for more height.

  7. well to jump higher you need to WORK OUT! my suggestion is to go to frappier acceleration sports training, i am a 5'4" volleyball player and my vertical increased 5 inches... now its 21 inches... it sure helps me!

  8. the step box thing is very helpful: step up one foot at a time and then jump off, and repeat.

What i do sometimes though is i wear heavier clothes and then i practice my approach and jump. It'll feel very awkward at first, but IMO i always feel lighter when i jump with my uniform on after i do this.

  9. Plyometrics...box jumps for explosion.  An ab routine so there's no energy lost in your midsection when you jump, too.

  10. spring shoes! lol nike shox work great!:)
