How do you jump higher?

I've played volleyball for almost a year now and I'm pretty good (not to brag) but i want to jump higher so i can have a stronger approach. Is there any way to increase my vertical jump? and sort of quickly? my season is almost here. =D

  1. put a 2-5 poun ankle weight on each ankle 7 practice jumping with tose on then when u need to play take them off and u feel much lighter so u can jump higher

  3. ahh my just started.. go up to a wall & go down & extend them up ward as for as you can. it will help.

  4. ok this is easy and u can do it anywhere, just simple free weight calf raises get those legs toned and nimble. standing at school ro wherever just up and down real slow n ur toes, not touching the ground will build mucsle needed to boost up off the ground

    or practice on a trampoline

  6. Do the exersizes with the weight bar where you use your legs to get it up to your chest then you push it up over your head.  The proffesionals can usually jump higher then the average basketball player.  Also just jumping works im only 5 7 and i am inches away from touching a ten foot rim.

  9. Jumping rope, also try things like jumping off something not too tall and once you land, jump up right away. This will help your vertical

  10. well last year i had to increase my vertical because im short. I jumped rope for ten minutes a day, and did calf and thigh exercises. Also squats are the best, they increased my vertical jump immensley. Now I have a kick a** approach, and a really hot butt. hehe

  12. welll my techniqe....is left foot right foot...and then swing ur arms for momentem and while doing that left foot right foot JUMP....

    you can also do wall taps over and over again at a goal of a certain height and ull improve

  13. Climb a Mouton and jump of the top just kidding Stand on the edge of a curb on your tippy toes and push up do about 40 a day that might help.

  14. jumping rope for ten minutes a day for a month increased my vertical by 3 inches...it strengthens the calf muscles a lot and gets them more toned
