Hedgehogs are good in the garden because they eat all the slugs. I put hedgehogs in my allotement and they keep wandering off. How can i persuade them to stay?

  1. Leave saucers of dogfood or catfood.  (Not milk or bread, it's bad for them.)

  2. Just leave food out for them , they seem to love cat and dog food. Also make sure there is somewhere sheltered for them to sleep

  3. Have a look at this site.  It tells you everything you need to know about encouraging and caring for wild hedgehogs.

  4. give them lots of dog/cat food, they love that.

  5. My mother feeds her hedgehogs on fat trimmed from meat after cooking. The neighbours cat and hedgehogs are sometimes seen eating together on the lawn in the evening.

Hedgehogs will need somewhere secure to live. I presume that the allotment does not have any large mature shrubs or bushes so it may be necessary to construct a wooden den and cover it with twigs and branches.

  6. Give them color TV, Xbox games, and a few hot looking female

    hogs.
