  1. Often a ceiling fan will be installed in the same electrical box as the ceiling light fixture came out of. Many times this box is not properly attached for the added weight of the ceiling fan.  This may cause a wobble , and in some cases it may even fall. A special H.D. ceiling fan box should be installed --- about $6 at the store.

Wobble can also be caused by the blades being out of balance. You can try moving(changing) 2 opposite blades around at a time to see if this helps.

Also --- try taping a coin on the top of 1 or 2 blades for counterbalance --- there are special plastic weights that come with ceiling fans for this purpose , but you will not have these ---- try the coin --- it will work.

  2. turn the fan off,

grab hold of the blade assembly,

    gently pull down,

    spin the blade and repeat,

if it just slightly off balance this will help a bunch...

  3. if everything you say is correct it would seem at least one of the blades is off-balance.     usually you might take a penny and tape it to the top side of one blade a couple of inches from the end of the blade.   turn the fan back on and see if it ant better or worse. if worse remove the penny and put it on the next blade, etc.     it's like getting your wheels balanced.

    good luck to ta

  4. They make a balancing kit for a few bucks. Most hardware stores like lowes has them.

  5. one or more of the screws are lose tighten them up

  6. To balance the blades, shut the fixture off and tighten the screws holding the blades to the blade brackets. Purchase a blade balancing kit at a hardware store and follow its direction for checking the blades.

  7. First, be sure that the power is turned off.

Move the propeller shaft sideways or back and forth to check the condition of the bearing.  If its ok, align the propeller manually as suggested by others.  Hope, this helps,
