How do you keep boys happy when babysitting?

i babysit these 3 boys ones 8 the others 6 and the other is 3 and i cant seem to keep all of them happy at the same time. for ex

if the littlest guy wants to play on the swings and the other two want to ride bikes in the front and then i have to try to get them all to agree and thats when a brother fight breaks out and then none of them want to see each other and want me to be in 3 places at once

I think it would work best if you were to sit down and write some rules first.

Plan the activity to accommodate both, and do each of them so they are each satisfied.

But, the rules will apply if the fights start so, they need to understand the consequences if they can't get along.

No "playing" outside if any "fights" start. The kids need boundaries, if you don't have them in place then, they are going to run over you. It isn't their fault as far as fighting but, you can control how much of it is or isn't going to be tolerated. Let them have fun and know this is normal that siblings fight. You don't have to constantly entertain them either! You can allow a certain amount of play time and then when it's time to come in or whatever; you can have some video games, TV or some board games available to occupy them when it's time to be inside.

Just remember, the rules and make sure they understand them, this way they know what to expect when they go too far.

Other than that, let them be boys!

you could try "first we'll go on the swings, and THEN we'll ride bikes so everybody gets a turn."

that always works for me.

buy a bag of sand from toys R us, it only costs 5 bucks, and its a lot of sand

pour it in something large so all the kids can play in it at the same time

maybe have some water in a bucket so they can make sandcastles

i'm thinking back to when i was six and eight--i would have enjoyed it, but i'm a girl

however, i have a 3 year old brother, and he loves playing in his little sandbox
