  1. look round your house and outside for any containers that can hold water, they thrive in stagnant conditions, also cut up a raw onion and leave on the window sill at night, the smell deters them

  2. STOP BREATHING !!!!!

Mosquitoes are attracted to the carbon dioxide you exhale, so if you really want to stop attracting them you need to stop exhaling.

  3. Plant citronella. Build a goldfish pond and put up a martin house in the back yard. Once populated, your new flock cn take out 200,000 mosquitos per day.

Chck your yard and the surrounding areas for any standing water. Birdbaths are a big no-no. Puddles are home to larvae.

  4. One thing that helps keep them off your person, is to consume large amounts of garlic (or take garlic supplements).  I found this out after my two heart attacks, when I began taking garlic with my medications as a way of keeping my blood thin and for other benefits.  Evidently, garlic has a good amount of sulfur compounds, which mosquitos, fleas and ticks try to avoid.

For best affect, you will have to take about 1000mg per day for a couple of weeks or more.  The full affect develops after about a month of use.

  5. Get a bat house.  Bats eat mosquitos.

  6. put listerine in a spray bottle and spray where you hang out. lasts about 2 weeks unless it rains. REALLY WORKS TRY IT. you dont want to have martins unless you like cleaning up **** everyday.
