  1. if you have windows cover them up and keep the doors closed and it should stay pretty cool in the summer.

  2. Ceiling fan or connect to your existing home ductwork with a 8 inch piece of flex to a 8 inch IB box and close it off when your not in the garage and open it when you are in the garage.

  3. Most people use large fans because there is usually no reason for an A/C vent in the garage.

  4. I put reflective shades over the windows that face the sun and keep them down all summer. When the weather cools I open them to admit more light. It seems to help somewhat and the shades are inexpensive.  I also installed insulated garage doors, though that was more to keep heat in during cold weather. Insulating the walls would probably help but I haven't gotten around to that yet.

I've also noticed that some people just keep their doors open to let air circulate, though I can't quite bring myself to do that.

Anyway, here's some information on garage doors:

  5. Air Conditioning! Or open the door that connects it 2 ur house and close the garage door panel

  6. Store icecubes in it.

  7. Our garage door faces south with a large window facing west. You could bake bread in the summer!!  I have noticed though, replacing the window covering has made some difference.  Did have a gathered curtain on a tension rod, and replaced it with a privacy lined roman shade.  Also, we sometimes stop the door just a few inches of being closed and have a fan just to circulate the air a bit.  And I'm sure having an insulated door would make a world of difference -just haven't got that far yet.
