I have a problem with mud daubers on my patio. I keep breaking up the mud nests they make and spray them (at night). They keep building more. Is there anything that I can spray on the walls to keep them away. This is super annoying.

  1. ammonia works well on unwanted pest of all kinds! You may try spraying some on the walls ans see what happens! Whatever you try and prove  LET US KNOW!!!!

  2. In the 7 years of working in the pest control industry, I haven't found anything to stop mud daubers from building a nest on any structure, with the exception of freshly painted areas.  The daubers typically build in areas of "low traffic" such as eaves, overhangs, or behind areas that aren't frequented.  Since the daubers are not AS prone to stinging as red paper wasps or hornets, unfortunately their nests are not pleasing to the eye.  Spraying the nests really only waste your insecticide.

  3. Try pouring some dish soap on the area where they are building.  Insects don't like it, it dissolves their membranes.
