  1. I wash my sheets weekly in warm water for the white ones, cold for the colored ones and hang them on the clotheslines to dry in the sunshine.  The smell is FRESH and stays on my sheets the whole week.  My blankets get washed the same way, but usually only once or twice a month, and again, hung in the sunshine.  My pillows get hung out on the line, minus the pillowcases, which are washed weekly, and the pillows get washed maybe twice a year (mine are feather and I zip them in a special outer pillowcase and then put regular pillowcases on them.  I think the one thing that keeps everything all nice and fresh, is hanging them outside in the fresh air.  My Grandma used to tell me, the fresh air and sunshine would kill dust mites and it would also keep my sheets spot and stain free.  I know this, so far so good and I am OLD now too!  LOL!  Hope this helps you!  Good luck!

  2. sprinkle baby powder on the sheets so when you come in, it will be like heaven

  3. I use a double sheet system. i put a sheet or a pillow case on then i put the ones i want to use on top. the first set keeps any soils from going into the bed or pillow, and then i have two layers of sheets to sniff! Also try using duvet covers. these are like pillow cases for blankets so the actual blanket never gets dirty.

Every 6 months I also wash all my bedding such as the pillows and blankets. Check each item for their washing instructions and don't forget to throw some tennis balls into the dryer if you have down. Expect a full day of drying time so have spare blankets ready for that night, just in case.

  4. Wash weekly with fabric softener and/or dryer sheets. I also have a spray bottle filled with a little bit of Downy fabric softener mixed with water, it works kind of like Febreze but I prefer this scent over that. I spray my blankets and sheets every-other-day or so and they always smell really fresh and nice. Plus it's cheaper than Febreze and you can pick and choose which scent you really like a lot. You could also spritz a little of your favorite perfume or body spray if you prefer that. Dryer sheets in your pillow cases is nice too. :o)

  5. Change them once a week.

  6. Buy two sets.  Change the bed and wash them every week.  Febreeze helps, but I don't like to use too much (wife has allergies).

  7. wash  them then put drier sheets in your pillow cases and randomly under the bottom sheet

  8. Try washing them weekly.

  9. when you get out off  bed in the morning, don't make your bed up right away give it at least three hours to air with a window a bit open.

  10. The answer to your question is simple.  With each load of wash that you do  you should add about 1/4 of a small sized drinking glass of bleach (sodium hypercloride).   Dilute it into about a quart of tap water and add it when all the laundry has had time to get thoroughly wet and then let it continue with its wash cycle with rinses and centrifuge etc.  You will be very happy with the result because it leaves your laundry smelling a bit like fallen snow like fresh and clean all the time.

  11. Presoak them in OxyCLean and then add 1 cup of ammonia to the wash water.

  12. wash them

    with downey : ]

  13. wash weekly and spray frebreeze every day when you make the bed, one layer at a time.

  14. I do this by cleaning all bedding (sheets, pillow cases) atleast weekly, or twice a week.

The blanket and zipper pillow protecters gets cleaned monthly.

I spray disifectant on the mattress and pillows each time I change the bedding.

In between, I spray a linen spray lightly on the sheet/blanket, for a nice scent.

    =)

  15. Wash them weekly, throw the covers back and allow the bed to air 30 minutes before making it and go to bed freshly showered wearing clean sleep clothes
