  1. I have a couple ideas

              1. Buy them their own laptop

               2. Buy yourself a new laptop

                   OR

               3. show 'em whos boss and kick 'em off!!!

  2. You might have to by him his own or give him yours and buy an upgraded computer for your self. Or just be really firm and make a time and day that he can surf

  3. Get them into something else or get urself a laptop, or set some ground rules with how long they're on the computer.

  4. wow.  not to be rude but you are the adult.  you have to not only set limits but enforce them.  if you are non-confrontational, then you're going to have to buy them their own computer.

  5. I built and use parental control software that lets me set time limits such as total minutes per day and maximum time at one sitting. The software enforces the time limits automatically. It gives my boys audible reminders like "5 minutes left" and logs them off when their time is over. It has ended fighting over computer time in our house. It's extremely easy to learn and use. Give it a try at http://www.TimesUpKidz.com

  6. If he or she is young enough you could tell them you are waiting for a very important email. Or you could jsut set up a schedule for computer use in your home.

  7. well you could try to get them interested in something else for awhile, or you could tell them to only play "this much time" for a day.

  8. tell him to get off and give him a time limit for every day. he doesnt stick with it he looses time.

  9. Give your kid a time limit like an hour a day or maybe two whatever you like cause it could hurt the kids eyes

  10. Set a certain amount of time and tell him so before he gets on.  "Ok, you can have the computer, but only for an hour."  Also let him know what the punishment will be if he does not obey, like losing computer privileges for a day.

You could also set time limits for each day (1 hr per day during the week, 2 a day on weekends) and use a timer!!
