What if anything can we do to keep our mental health ?

  1. You'd be surprised how many people who claim "good mental health" really are just conforming & adapting to the norm.

    When you take a wild animal and seek to domesticate it, at first it will lash out against you. It will seemingly go against you at every possible angle in a desperate attempt to regain its freedom.

    After while it learns to depend on you & even might look foward to your presence as it ultimately comes to see you as its only means for survival. It's spirit is broken & no longr lives - but simply EXISTS.

    Most people are like domesticated animals. They've come to depend on society to give them a daily pat on the back & tell them "It's going to be alright". They dance the steps others have choreographed for them & their thoughts are those deemed "popular".

    With this in mind, how many of these trained persons (slaves to habit & routine) can really say they're mentally stable?

    The burden of conformity alone must put strain on the psyche.


  2. Read books

    Get enough sleep

    Take medication

    Exercise

    Have a Psychiatrist

    Keep busy

    Get in to the Game

    Dominate it.

  3. Healthy natural diet.

    The best thing you can do is give your body what it needs and it will give you what you need.

    Daily ingestion of certain amount of natural vitamins,minerals,omega 3 fatty acids will prevent most if not all mental and physical illnesses and cure most if not all that you may have.

    Remove most if not all unnatural and/or harmful substances from your diet is another thing you can do to keep your body and mind healthy.Products like refined sugar,refined salt,alcohol,artificial coloring,supplements,cow milk,meat,pharmaceutical drugs.

  5. Drink alot of Canadian Whiskey straight from the bottle this way when you get a stomache ache and you start puking your guts out you will forget that you is already crazy. Either that or come live in NY with the rest of my family, friends and neighbors.  I promise you, no one will notice.

    I'm just kidding. I don't recommend drinking unless you wish to study the ancient art of self embalming the long and hard way, one rum and coke atta time... though for the ladies I hear they have this drink called s*x On The Beach which is supposed to be hot, but I bet it ain't if they go in February.

  8. Sense of humor (laugh at yourself to ease tension, instead of beating yourself up) and education. Stay busy. Don't take the little things in life too seriously.

  9. there are many ways to keep your mental state sane but one of the strong ones i would suggest to keep yourself mentally healthy would have to be being sociable and having some sort of self esteem and confidence in yourself.  

  10. Omega 3's and bananas. Keep learning and researching.

  12. There are things we CAN do......

    1) exercise- it helps natural endorphins be released in your body which helps with depression.  It also decreases stress.

    2) Stress management- know how to avoid and/or deal with stress, too much stress can cause "burn out" which can lead to mental break downs.

    3) Set goals- having something to work towards helps with purpose in life and self esteem

    4) avoid drugs- that is an obvious one

    5) any tpye of spirituality is helpful.....whatever works for you
