How do you keep your text books in your car?

Does anyone know of a good way to keep a big stack of text books organized and from going all over your car. My son has a 30 minute commute to college and he is a neat freak. Does anyone know if they make an organizer for your books and notebooks to keep them from tipping over and going all over the place but is still convenient to grab them out and go? Or has anyone found a good container that does the trick? Thanks!

  1. well he can always buy those plastic boxes used for children's toys and it comes with a lid. I mean it would be effective, nothing will come out.

  2. I go to wal mart.. you can pry find them at a big lots or whatever.. and I checked out the section that has plastic drawers and totes and stuff. I found one that was big enough my books could set upright in them (all them) and I wrote the name of the class on each book.. like on the top of the book where all the papers come together so I could read it when they are all upright in the plastic box. It is about 2.5 bigger than a shoe box. This way I wasn't worried about them sliding all over, being messy, people sitting and stepping on them, they were all together and without pulling all of them out i could read what they were.

  3. you could always get a smaller plastic storage bin to keep them in.

  4. A milk crate, stolen from a convenience store, works well and is SO college.  Also, you can put BBQ grill propane tanks in them to transport and they won't roll all over the place!  Good luck.

  5. i would try a milk crate. he can stack his stuff in there. he can put it in the trunk, back seat or behind the seat!

  6. storage box in the boot - sorted.
