How do you kill a trumpet vine?

They are nice plants when they are in someone else's yard. To control them, cut the seed pods off before they spread their seed.

To kill them, I would try cutting them to the ground and spraying a chemical, like round up on them. Then I would keep an eye on them and if they grew, cut them back. Eventually they will go away.

Very invasive plant if not watched carefully.

You just keep cutting it down as far down as you can, and cut the base of roots as much and deep as you can, you can also then pour boiling "hot" water on the base of plant as that will destroy the roots.

pretty much dig it up, deep rooted and spreads so fast.
