in big ball or small ball, to kill the ball efficiently, u wait until the ball is at about ur knee height or lower, u set ur feet firmly and swing with ur hips. Good ace serves greatly vary, it all depends on ur body type, power, and style of play. normally u want to get the ball just past the short line or right behind the long line with a lot of power. however, u dont want to rely on ace serves, 2 or 3 aces a game is perfect, working on ur volleys is the best way to improve ur game.

An ace serve is not necessarily a power serve. A lot depends on your opponent. If he is right handed and you detect a weak left hand you can serve a slow bounce serve on the left side bouncing just past the back serve line and very high making sure the ball hugs the left wall. If he does return it, the ball will be weak and you are set for your side arm kill shot up front.
