  1. Below is a link that provides facts about the Bearded Dragon. States that males have larger heads and darker beards, females have larger pores.

  2. Male-

    larger heads

    thicker tail at the base

two bumps on the underside base of their tails

    Female-

    smaller heads

    tails usually more slender

only one or no bumps on the underside of the base of the tail by the vent.

  3. that is something the vet would know

  4. the answer above is partially incorrect. Females do not have larger pores, males have larger Femoral pores. There are two easy ways to s*x a beardie and it can be done by a beginner. The first way is to look at the pores on the underside of the hind legs and if there are large pores it's a male. If not, a female. Do not go buy beard color or head size, this is a imperfect way to s*x a beardie. The other way is to put a beardie on a table. You then lift their tail up almost 90 degrees. At the base of the tail, you will either see one lump, or you will see two elongated lumps. One lump is a female, two is a male. Here is a p icture of how do tell the difference: http://www.kingsnake.com/gladescs/bearde...

  5. The most accurate way to tell is to get it to the vet and let him tell you.
