  1. Your dog will go around the carpet on his bottom

    Consitantly scratch his rear end

    l**k quite frequently

Also you could check his stools (look don't touch) & you might see little white wriggling things in it.These are the worms. They may also hang from or around his/her bottom.

Keep the area (around his/her bottom) clean and clear to prevent it spreading and other areas becoming infected. (use gloves when doing this)

You should worm your dog every month with a de worming tablet. These can be purchased at local pet stores and the vet's.

Note: Some worms are spreadale depending on which type your dog has so don't touch that end for what ever reason until you are sure they have gone or he/she hasn't got worms.

Dog worms types reside in the intestines and the bloodstream. Most puppies are born with roundworms from the mother while adult dogs contract worms from f***s.

    The types:

Roundworms in Dog (also called Nematodes) – These worms are smooth an narrow and tapered at both ends. Most of these worms cannot be seen with the eye and must be found with a microscopic examination of your dogs stool. These worms are often called stomach worms, hookworms, whipworms, heartworms, and lungworms.

Tapeworms in Dog (also called Cestodes) – These worms include a head and many segments and are often caused by eating fleas or small rodents.

Flatworms In Dog (also called Trematodes or Flukes) – These worms often hook themselves to your dog in their intestines, lungs and liver.

Note that ringworm is not due to worms, but has the name due to an appearance that looks like a worm.

Can you See Worms in Dog Stool?

While you can see worms in dog stool, it is more common that you can’t.

Flatworms in Dog – Cannot see worms in stool with eggs seen under a microscope.

Roundworms In dog – Long worms that can be seen in the stool.

Hookworms In Dog – Microscopic eggs that cannot be seen without a microscope.

Tapeworms in Dog – You can see worm pieces in the hair near your dog’s a**s. Can also see eggs under a microscope.

    Worming med:

There are several worms medicine dog for the many dog worms types.

Heartgaurd Plus – Kills roundworm and hookworm eggs

Interceptor and Sentinel – Kill roundworm, hookworm and whipworm eggs.

    Revolution – Liquid Heartworm Preventative

Proheart 6 – Injection to prevent heartworm

If you dog frequently has a problem with parasites such as worms a natural dietary supplement is worth a try. PetAlive makes a supplement designed to naturally expel internal parasites like Heartworm, Roundworm and Tape Worm. Check with your veterinarian.

Hope i helped and good luck

  2. Well I would Suggest bringing him/her to a vet and have a blood test.

Whatever Happens I'm praying for your dog ok.

  3. There are plenty of dog worming pills out there drontol is 1 of the best. Yes if he licks your face you could get them as dogs l**k their butt and the eggs transfer to their tongue then l**k you transfering the eggs to you.

  4. Basically if a dog has worms there are several ways of detecting them, depending on the type of infestation they have. Some are detectable in their f***s, they will look like spaghetti. Weight loss and loss of appetite are a good indication followed by discoloration of their gums. Dogs gums should be nice and pink. Diarrhea is also another good example. Your Dog should be wormed every 6 months.

CAUTION!  Intestinal parasites of dogs and cats are potential health hazards for humans, too. (extract from the link below!)

  5. he tries to scratch his butt,,,dragging it on the floor is how they sometimes do it and also look at his a**s in the morning before you send him out to p**p,,,they will be poking out wiggling,,,,also look at his p**p,,they will be there if he hgas worms

  6. The best way is to let the vet do a fecal exam to see if  he has worms and what kind they are. I don't think you can catch them from licks in the face. But the only way is the vet. Different types of worms need different types of meds to kill them.  There are several types of parasite worms in animals.  you can see tape worm segments on the dogs a**s area and in the poo, they look like small grains of rice. The tape worms come from the dog or cat swallowing fleas when they l**k them self's Dewoming at the vets is not too expensive. .

  7. Hi, having read all the replies you have already received I can only add one further thing that may help. Stand behind your dog when he/she is standing and place a hand either side of the abdomen directly in front of the rear legs and put a little pressure so that the tips of your fingers press underneath on the abdomen, generally doing this when a dog has worms will cause some discomfort for the dog and he will whimper to let you know. Also, please don't presume that just because he is dragging his butt along the floor that he has worms, it can also be a sign of blocked anal glands which is best sorted by your vet unless you really know what you are doing to clean them. Good luck.

  8. The best way is to take a stool sample to the vets and they will test it.  Sometimes they will eat grass, but that doesn't always mean they have worms, same with sliding on their butts.

  9. He will drag himself on the ground his bottom.  Yes you can catch worms usually tape worms.  but you need to worm your dog regularly as you would yourself, then you will not have any problems have a good day!

  10. Take a fecal sample to the vet if you suspect worms. I've had dogs with worms that showed no evidence of them in their f***s. I don't worm my dogs myself, there's no all purpose wormer out there.

  11. there are many different medical signs which point to your dog having worms. Having a popped belly (really rounded belly), dull coat, pale gums, scooting their bottom on the ground. Sometimes they will pass the worms when they do a poo and other times they can vomit them up. yes you can catch worms from your dog. the round worm can be passed to people and can migrate up behind the cornea in the eye and make you go blind. Tape worms can migrate through your skin and also go into your major organs like lungs and cause cysts.getting a faecal test at the vet will tell you but in the end the result will be the same, you will need to worm the dog. Using an all wormer like drontal will cover for all intestinal worms. The best thing to do is avoid letting your dog l**k your face and ensure you wash your hands well after playing and just to be on the safe side worm your self as well.

    hope this has helped.
