How do you know if a man wants s*x or a relationship?

I recently began a physical relationship with someone from my past. We talked for several months leading up to a sexual encounter. After we had s*x, he stayed with me, talking and holding me. After he left, he then called me every other day, but seemed a little distant. I asked him if everything was ok and he said yes. I am wondering if he wants just s*x or maybe more.

It sounds like he wants something more. There may be something else on his mind that might not have anything to do with you. As long as he keeps calling and talking to you, you should be ok.

Even guys who want a relationship want s*x! It's part of a relationship. If he only wanted a shag, he wouldn't have waited several months. However, the distance could be that you slept together a bit soon from a relationship point of view. You said you talked for several months, not that you dated for several months. Next time you talk to him, ask him when he's taking you on a date. Let him know when you are free, but if he asks where you want to go, tell him it's your job to look pretty and have a good time. It's his job to look spunky and make sure you have a good time :) I daresay you'll get the answer to your question that way.
