How do you know if a wholesaler/dropshipper is legitimate?

Found a wholesaler. Requires me to fill out application with references and tax id number and what not...but how do i know if they are not scammers? Is there anything i should be asking from them?

  1. there is a website try through google that has a list of illegitimate companies..I sorry I don't remember the name of the website.... or just google the name of the company..


  2. Look them up in BBB, Better Business Bureau.  If they are legitimate wholesaler, you should be able to contact them directly with real address, phone number, and ask for references.

    I am now selling thing online with dropshipping items through a great e-commerce site www.silkfair.com.  Try them out too if you are selling items.

  3. you should talk to them over the phone. If they sound "professional" and sound like they've done it before. go for it. Usually if they're in the USA, check with local listings to make sure that they're actually a business that's listed with BBB. If they're international, I'd be extremely cautious. Talk to someone and see if they've ever heard of that company. Research it online. Put the company name in google and see what comes up. Good luck.
