I just started school, but it has been like a year since I have had Algebra 1 and we are reviewing for algebra 2 and I forgot everything. Any help will be appreciated!

  1. for example...

    I x I = -7

has no solution because I cannot take the absolute value of something and have it be negative. So I guess a rule of thumb would be if you have the abs value by itself equal to a negative number, there is no solution.
