first of all physical size, anger/mood swings, and hormonal issues (hair...).  If they have all 3 symptoms just ask.

Veins show like crazy, mood swings, lose arm wrestling competitions to smaller opponents, and obviously if you see them and their skinny and then a month later they are way bigger it takes along time to gain inches in your arms.

you have to be tested to really know. people who take steroids tends to break out (usually on the upper back), they feel depressed and a shrinkage of their testicles.
