  1. In US does not matter you have well or city water ,bout are same and have heavy matterial in Or you should use the filter system or never drink it.

  2. If your on city sewer it should show on your water bill.

  3. If you get a water bill, it shoud say sewer charge. If not, or in the county,, probably septic. You have to pay for city sewer, but not septic tank.

  4. Most septic systems have a 4" vent coming from the tank. Do you have a 4" pipe (probably plastic) coming from your ground? If not...your probably on sewer. Another way to check is to look at the water lines in your crawl space or basement. Check the supply line to the house. Does this water line have a meter? If it does...it too means your on sewer. But to be 100%...Go (or call) to your local water & sewage utility. They'll answer in a few minutes...

  5. All you have to do is call the city and find out they have to let you know

  6. Do you have a well for water?  If so, then usually it's septic.  You'll definitely know you have septic if you haven't had the tank emptied and it overflows into your yard.  Go to your township or county, they can tell you.
