Swelling, bruising, pain are good signs, you would need to go to a doctor to be sure though.

well is it black and blue? Does it hurt so bad you can barely more it or can u move it at all? Is it swollen? If you say yes to any of these questions then i would get it checked. Its quite possible that it is broken. Hope this helped. Email me if u wanna talk some more about this.

Chances are if you are asking, it is time to go to the hospital. Even with a broken bone in the foot you may still be able to walk, though with some pain which may be indistinguishable from a sprain or other injury. So go to a doctor and get an X-ray. Only this will tell you what is going on and how severe your injury is.
