How do you know if you got a reckless driving ticket instead of just a regular speeding ticket?

i got a speeding ticket last night going 80mph on the 65mph freeway in california. i dont see anything on my ticket about it being a reckless driving one...should it say somewhere?

  1. Contact the courts where your ticket came from. They will tell you exactly what is involved with your citation.Same thing happened to me. I took a great ONLINE driving school class with  http://www.ticketrelief.com. It took less than a day to take the class and I received the certificate in just a few days.  


  2. on the ticket there should be a reference to what particular section of vehicle and traffic law you were charged with. it won't say "reckless driving"...it would just list the section of law you were charged with (in NY state it's NYVTL #1212 for reckless driving).

    for arguements sake, i don't think 15mph over the limit warrants reckless driving!  

  3. Yes, it will state the charge. You will not normally get a reckless driving ticket at 15mph over, unless you were observed doing some other dangerous act.

  4. It will say on the ticket I would think.
