I have a nissan maxima and i dont know if i have a bose system. I changed the speakers and they weren't bose speakers so im a bit confused about that . I also looked into the deck where the head unit is and i found the ground wire. I use to have the problem with the wining noise coming from the speakers. Now that i have found the wire how do i fix the wining pitch?

  1. If there is no 'Bass", it is definitely a Boss system.

  2. If you have Bose it would be written on at least the radio itself, and most likely on the grilles of the speakers, and the speaker itslelf, if it is not then you don't. Have you replaced the head unit? The ground should go directly to a chassis ground (bare metal) this should solve ground loops and whine.
