  1. The only way to know for sure is to get an MRI. Symptoms of a Brain tumor are not necessarily unique to a brain tumor. Headaches, double vision, dizziness all are minor symptoms of a brain tumor. More serious symptoms are loss of feeling or numbness on a specific side of the body, seizures, or severe nausea.

Primary brain tumors are not very common, usually less than one percent of Americans develop them. This is of course depending on age, health, etc.

Secondary brain tumors are a little more common, but these are the result of cancer in the other parts of the body.

My brain tumor was found after a Grand Mal seizure. I had a light headache the days prior, but it was no different than any other headache I had in the past. I thought the headache was from a lack of caffeine, so I would drink another cup of coffee and pop a couple of aspirin. Headache gone.  The seizure was what caused the CAT scan and subsequent MRI. The tumor was an Oligrodendroglioma. Surgery and some radiation and so far so good.

If you are concerned you should talk to your doctor.

    Good Luck

  2. get an mri if you feel light headed or dizzy.
