Question:

How do you know if you have a low sperm-count or not?

When I was a child, one of my testicles failed to "drop" and I had to have surgery on it. It was a semi-successful surgery: it dropped, but it never fully developed.

I had a check-up a few years back with my doctor, and he told me I needed to protect my other one because if that one got injured, "there goes your manhood." I asked for clarification, and he told me my one t******e hadn't developed and probably wasn't producing sperm.

If this is the case, does this mean I have a low sperm-count? My wife and I have just begun to TTC and I am wondering if it'd be OK to have s*x every day, or if maybe we should only do it every other day since I might have a low sperm-count.

Thanks.

  1. First I would simply see if you guys have difficulty conceiving.  If so then you should go to the doctor and have a sperm count done (this requires a s***n sample)

  2. Okay first, you can produce plenty of sperm with one t******e.  The good one kind of compensates for the other one.  Second, there are men with 2 testicles that have a sperm count issue, so if you have a problem there it won't necessarily be because of the non-working t******e.

Honestly, to ease your mind you should go get a sperm analysis.  You may be presently surprised.  Do it and give yourself peace of mind.

    Good luck!
