  1. I presume you're talking about hyperthyroidism? You can do a search on the disease on the net. For example, some of the symptoms are listed on this site: http://www.medicinenet.com/hyperthyroidi...

If I'm not wrong, it can be diagnosed through a blood test which tests your thyroid function/levels

  2. Hyperthyroidism (over active thyroid) is the term used to describe your condition. A thyroid function test can be done to determine the levels of the thyroid hormone that you have. Usually for someone who has hyperthyroidism, your test results would show that you have an increase in both the T3 or T4 hormone while a decrease in your TSH hormone.

The main symptoms of hyperthyroidism is weight loss despite increase in appetite, heat intolerance, sweating, diarrhea, tremor, irritability, or even an increase in pulse.

I would suggest you to see a dr and get the proper treatment if you do have hyperthyroidism. Some of the late complications of hyperthyroidism are Heart Failure (as a result of thyrotoxic cardiomyopathy), Osteoporosis, Ophthalmopathy, Gynaecomastia, Atrial Fibrillation.

See a Dr. and you'll be fine. you don't have to be afraid as it is treatable if you have it.
