How do you know if you have an energy star refrigerator?

We moved into a new house and the previous owner left us the refrigerator. I want to know if it's an energy star. I thought energy stars always have the little logo on it, but when we went to the appliance store, they only had signs to show that they were energy star appliances, no permanent logo. My clothes washer has the energy star logo on it, so why not the refrigerators?

Energystar.gov will let you know if you own an energy efficient appliance.

I don't know why one would have a sticker and the other doesn't if they're both energy star but here's my suggestions.  

1.  Go on the internet and plug in your refrigerator, when you get to it's site...see if they listed it as an energy star.  (Unless someone the previous owners left you the manual, that would tell you.)  

2.  You can also check with a couple thin metal plates on your refridge with serial numbers, features, etc.  Usually it is located on the back of the fridge on the panel that is screwed into the back

3.  OR pop the grill under the from of the fridge and it's on the inside of the grill or sides of fridge where you popped the grill.  

4.  And lastly, if you know where the fridgerator was purchased, they store should have a record of the purchase and if not, it would certainly know about the mechandise it sold.
