    It's about $50, but it's very thorough.

Even though you've never had credit, you never know if someone took something out in your name/ss#. Always, always keep an eye on your credit report, whether you have credit cards, loans, etc or not...

The phone line wouldn't be on your credit unless it went to collections.

  2. You need to have a credit card to maintain credit.

  3. If you've never borrowed money, then you likely have no credit.  You can check at www.annualcreditreport.com.

  4. You know better than any other human being if you have good or bad credit.  I didn't get a credit card until i was 50. By paying cash my whole life i kept excellent credit.  If you paid the phone bill late every month, you have bad credit.  If you paid 1 day before the late charge kicked-in , that is called a "slow pay".  If you paid on time you have good credit.

I'm a landlord.  I would rent to you if you can convince me that you will pay me on time.
