I had these 2 bumps on the outside of my v****a and now they look like burns without the scab. I have been with the same person for 6 years and recently he had a fever blister on his bottom lip. I dont kno if he let it heal completely before he performed oral s*x on me and i didnt think anything of it because i didnt know it could lead to herpes. what do you think it is?

  1. sorry to say this but it does sound like herpes to me. i got herpes from my boy friend and i am only having s*x with him for almost 3 years now and i know that he doesn't cheat.

fever blisters are a type of oral herpes and they can be passed on while they are healing. also they can be passed onto the genitals. i got herpes on my genitals from my boyfriends healing cold sore. i didn't know any better what cold sores were at the time.

to find out for sure u need to get the bumps tested at the doctors or local clinic.

  2. Yes, your partner could have spread his own oral herpes to your genitals.   This would then be genital herpes. Sorry.

The best thing to do is to go to the doctor - an OB/Gyn, not a GP - and have them swab the sores.    This way, if the herpes test comes back positive, you'll know for sure what they are.

You could have a blood test done later - but then you will only know THAT you have herpes, not WHERE you have it.  And if his oral herpes is HSV1 (the most common strain for oral herpes), then your blood test will be particularly confusing.  You won't be sure if you have HSV1 on your mouth, or HSV1 on your genitals.

Of course, you could also find that it is NOT herpes - which would be nice, no?

I'm not sure where the previous respondant got their info, but herpes is not spread through salivia - it is spread through skin-to-skin contact.  And it is not spread to the nipples.   With a few rare exceptions, it is limited to the mouth and genitals.  They are correct, though, that you should get a doctor to swab the sores.

For more RELIABLE information about herpes, the symptoms, and how it is spread, I'd recommend the website below.

    Good luck.

  3. sorry to say but someone with herpes (cold sores) can pass the virus even if they don't have actual symptoms at the time. the number one way of passing herpes to the genital area is through masturbation (using your own spit as lube) and oral s*x. you should go to the doctor asap before the bumps go away to have them do a culture and possibly some blood work. be careful because herpes can spread almost any where like eyes, mouth, nose, nipples, all private areas including nuts, tant, and anal region. hope this helps. good luck and try to research this on the web as much as you can

  4. sorry but it sounds like he has oral herpes and now you have type 1 (oral herpes) on your genitals. herpes 1 is oral herpes herpes 2 is genital. yes you can pass oral herpes type 1 to your genitals if he preforms oral s*x.  just because you have outbreaks on your genitals it could be oral herpes (type 1) that was transmitted from mouth to genital. if you contracted oral herpes to your genitals then you would not get as many outbreaks as the usual person.  sorrybut it sounds like you have herpes type 1 on your genitals.

  5. check out this website...it is very informative.  has all the information you need about HIV and STDS.  http://www.sexhealthguru.com/index.php?s...

  6. yep you probably got it. herpes can be spread anywhere on the body..

So if you got in on your vagine, you'll have to be carefull now with s*x.

Get it diagnosed first and you'll have to be put on meds to keep the virus suppressed so you don't pass it onto you boyfriends genitals.

Sometimes people with herpes either oral or genital do not have any sypmtoms..sometimes the virus is just under the skin but shead traces of the virus above the skin, so you can get it without even seeing the outbreak.. That's why anyone with oral or genital herpes should be on valtrex or any of the other meds...

My husband has only oral one and he still takes meds, to keep the outbreaks to almost none..

  7. Because the bumps are pus filled and weird looking in my gyn we have pics of things like this to keep you aware from having unprotected s*x, go to a free clinic and get it checked out. Because a hair bump will have an ingrown hair in it. That you can remove.
