How do you know if you have what it takes?

I'm thinking about getting into modeling and/or commercials. Just small stuff so I can make some good, quick money but nothing big to get caught up in all the Hollywood hype.

But my question is how do you know if you have what it takes?

I agree in part with answer # 1, but not that you really don't know.

  If you don't believe anything else, believe this,,, YOU WILL most definitely know, in any attempts you make, whether acceptance or rejection will be the status quo.

  BUT,,,you won't ever know if you don't expend the energy.

Try auditioning for a play at a theater. These usually don't pay if you're underage, but it's terrific experience and it's something to put on your resume.

Just practice. Talent helps, but directors (especially youth) will work with you and help.

You really don't know, unfortunatly. You just have to hope and be lucky. Take some acting classes around your community and if you really enjoy it, then you've got nothing to lose.
