  1. i dont know about prebatal screening for dwarfism - which im assuming is what you mean, and i think most of the time that can be down to genetics.

as for blind and deaf, this most likely wouldnt be picked up until after birth when the nurse is seeing is the baby's eyes focus and they perform the hearing test.

  2. So what if they are? You obviously cannot change that and (hopefully)won't love them any less.

You won't know if they are a "midget" or not until you see some sort of growth pattern. They test for hearing at the hospital and babies don't start to focus until 2+ months, really.

  3. u have to wait until they r born....the only story i have heard of where they could tell something was wrong was on the dhc and the mom didnt even look pregnant at 9 months..but that was a really rare kind of dwarfism...and they figure out the deaf and blind stuff on if the baby reacts right...my friends baby wouldnt respond to slammed doors or her voice or anything and thats when they found out he was deaf he was like 2 months maybe somewhere around there

  4. Babies born with dwarfism look like any other baby. Unless there is serious genetic testing done, (and even then maybe not) you just have to hope for the best. The baby is born "normal" and then doesn't grow the same way and doesn't meet all the developmental landmarks. As for blindness and deafness, its the same thing. You wont know until the baby grows.

Would it make a difference anyway? Its still your child, even if they are different.
