How do you know if your clubs are AUTHENTIC?

...if you bought them from online from none authorised retailers?

help anyone? registering the clubs dont do anything.

  1. You pretty much answered your own question - register them.  If the serial code doesn't match their database (and they won't record your warranty/registration) you purchased fake equipment.  

    I swear by TGW.

Genuine clubs always have a serial number either on one of the clubs, or a bar code stuck on one of the shafts.  You go to the manufacturer's website and register your set so the warranty goes into effect.  If the serial number is not in the manufacturer's database then you have a fake set.  Generally not a good idea to buy online from non-authorized dealers.

  3. You may be able to take them to a golf store and get someone to look at them.

    A local news station did a story a few months back about people buying online and getting fakes. The online store was supposed to be a 'real' store and turned out not to be so the guy was able to get his money back. Someone has setup a fake ebay store to pull this off.

    I have bought from Golfsmith and TGW online, but I would never buy from though ebay or a third party store.
