How do you know if your guinea pig has diarrhea?

How do you know if your guinea pig has diarrhea? Is there any pictures or anything about it? Because one of my guinea pigs butt has brown stuff around its butt. Please give me pics or anything and describe

Are his poops really soft and runny?

True Diahrrea is serious. But some people mistake impaction or cecotrope droppings for it.

Is this actually around its bum or is it above it, guinea pigs have a gland on their rear end that releases a secretion, its like  greasy, sticky kind of substance,

If you are really worried seeing a vet would be the best thing to do

Maybe she's in heat When in heat the females will rumble strut this is when they walk close to the ground with bottom in air bottom swaying and making a purring sound, they will also mount other guinea pigs. Dried blood can be brownish

Diarrhea is very soft or watery f***s. It usually has a very unpleasant smell.

If your piggie is male, don't confuse the grease gland accumulation with diarrhea. The grease gland is at the end of the spine, where a tail would be located if he had one. If not cleaned regularly, this gland can accumulate a brown, greasy buildup.

If it truly is diarrhea, you'll need to get your piggie to a vet quickly. Diarrhea can be fatal in guinea pigs.
