How do you know if your hamster is pregnet

It is very difficult to tell if a hamster is pregnant. The reason being her size won't increase until the last 4 days before delivery. Some clues include when she may be building a bigger nest, hoarding a lot of food in the nest, will eat and drink water more than usual and sleep a lot more if she is pregnant. In the last 4 days before delivery, she will look big in the belly and teats would be prominent.

If you ever suspect your hamster might be pregnant, whether she is pregnant or not, treat her as though she is pregnant for the next 25 days. Make sure you give her lots of clean food and water and supplement her protein intake by giving her bits of hard boiled egg whites, bits of unsalted cheese and little quantities of skimmed milk. Try to put the cage in an area where she has the least disturbance from noises and activities.

Read up on the internet on how to handle pregnant hamsters and hamster babies so that if she delivers a litter, you would be confident about how to handle the situation.

Seriously though, it will get a fat tummy (like a pregnant person would) Also, she should start building a nest. So put shredded newspaper in her cage and see if she does this. She will be pregnant for less than 20 days so if nothing comes by then, she isn't pregnant.

my hampster died ; if its making noises and its stomach is bloated then, it will die unless you pay for a $2000  surgery and get it to a vet imeadiately.

i thought mine was pregnant but what happend was it ate its bedding and its stomach got big, i though mine was pregnant but then  i could clearly tell the animal was in pain an sick. :(

hope its not the same thing

but other wise the hampser would be gradjually getting bigger in its stomach and it would have its babies in 1-2 months or sumthing like that .
