  1. if they are curving outward, if he is not eating properly, or teeth are cutting into his bottom lip, they are too long! All rodents need chew sticks to help keep this from happening - their teeth grow continuously thruout their lives, so natural filing by chewing is the best way to keep them healthy. If they are too long, a vet can either trim or file the teeth for you.

  2. They will be out of the mouth. If you give your pet wood sticks to chew on, its unlikely this will happen.

  3. when they cant close there mouths hahahaha

  4. They start to curve outward or inward at a degree you are bound to notice. Your hamster will not be able to eat and if not treated will end up starving to death. You have to watch these things. My hamster had a lot of problems including this one. We had to get his tooth cut every month, but it cost $50 per appointment! We ended up CAREFULLY clipping it ourselves. He ended up having cancer and past away. Outgrown teeth for hamster is very common and must be watched.

  5. If it is having difficulties eating and gnawing, you may want to take it to the vet. They can file the teeth off to the proper size.

After you get it's teeth fixed make sure it has something to chew on. Do not give it soft wood like pine give it hard wood like walnut, oak or pecan.

  6. From what I understand its from misalighned jaws. The only way to correct it is like was stated above to take them into a vet and have them cut. You can do it yourself but you need a special tool.

  7. because they will hang out of the hamsters mouth like on his bottom lip think of silla black like that

  8. Hamster's teeth are too long if they jut too much out of the mouth when the hamster's mouth is closed or when the teeth are curling inward or outward. Other symptoms would be when the hamster is unable to eat its normal feed. In case of outgrown teeth, you would have to take the hamster immediately to the vet for cutting the teeth to length.

Give your hamster good gnawing toys like empty toilet role tubes, wood chew sticks (available in all pet shops) and plain hard dog biscuits (without added sugar). Most times, hamsters keep their teeth in check themselves by gnawing.
