  1. That's easy. It isn't.

  2. It is very easy. When I enter my house the member who are not dead; get frightened. They start screaming "Ghost, Ghost!". They try to call mantrik to remove me out of my house.

  3. As I keep telling people and getting thumbs down for please eliminate any possible physical cause for wierd noises and shadows before presuming ghosts or aliens or whatever caused them.

Have you had the house's structure and wiring checked.

Are you near a fault line or mines?

Are there wild animals or birds in the area that could be trying to enter the house?

Have there any toxic chemicals or natural substances in the area or house that could be effecting your senses?

Do you or your neighbours have any really stupid "friends" or relatives who think playing pranks is funny?

Two major indicators of possible paranormal activity.

Dogs or cats reacting to things you cant see especially if you're not in an earthquake area and there are no mouse or birds etc around. Remeber they can hear and smell things you cant.

Repeated Sightings of strangers in or near the house who suddenly appear and disappear and you are fully awake and not stressed out.

  4. You could get a digital cameral with an LED screen. Some people claim they can actually see the ghost on the LED screen. I think you have to kind of know what you are looking for though. Most people capture a ghost on camera by taking tons of pictures around their home. Out of hundreds you might get one. But I think you are likely  to get one during the times you already feel freaked out, or smell weird things, or feel cold spots, or hear noises. If that is happening already, start getting pictures, even if you just have a camera phone.

If you are going to try that, don't smoke or use a camera strap. Don't do it on a rainy day or if you have just vacuumed the floor or swept the floor. Also, be prepared that  you might actually get something. If you really don't want to see a picture of a ghost, don't do it.

The international ghost hunter's society and other people like the people at ghostpix.com or ghostweb.com have a page that tells you more rules to follow to get a ghost picture. Basically you don't want dust, bugs, smoke or anything in the room when you do it.

Also, you might research the EVP. Electronic Voice Phenomenon. What you are supposed to do is make recordings in your house, either when you ask the ghosts to talk, or when no one is at home at all.   There are supposed to be some things you can buy at radio shack to record ghost voices. I'd be afraid to do that myself, some EVP are pretty scary, just listen to them on Youtube, search EVP.

  5. Things to look for if you think your house is Haunted

    3. Are there wierd smells that come from nowhere?

    4. Do you feel like your being touched when no one is around?

    5. At times do you feel a heavyness or like the air has gotten thicker?

    6. Do you hear whispering when no one is around?

    10. Are you finding rooms in your home that seem to be much colder?

    11. Are lights flickering or turning off and on by themselves?

    12. Are you finding doors being opened or closed on there own?

  6. um well i have lived in many haunted houses... in my case there was rappin on the walls, voices, marbles going across the floor upstairs when the doors and windows were shut. i even lived in the house my great grandma and papaw passed in.... the piano would play by itself, ect.

  7. If you don't believe in such things, then it's not haunted.

However, if you want to know that your house is haunted, Steven Wagner who contributes to a blog at about.com gives 16 signs that your house may be haunted:

The link in my sources leads to Mr. Wagner's page, which I tend to think is a fairly complete work. Also, if you are having these things, document them! Writing down the patterns of occurrences helps to solidify any efforts to help you that any paranormal investigator might be able to do.

  8. No, you posted it in the right category the first time.  It's welcome here, but ghost hauntings fall into the mythology category too.

The answer is you can't tell if your house is haunted.  The primary reason is that because ghosts/spirits have never been measured or demonstrated to exist, we don't know what to look for to determine their presence.

The most you will get are pseudo-scientific types who see any anomaly (i.e. EMFs, cold spots, etc.) as an indication a ghost is present.  What it boils down to is that just because you are unable to understand the cause of something doesn't mean a ghost is responsible for it.
